The tomb of the family Konrad Adenauer is on the northern enlargement part of the cemetery. It stood on the Melaten cemetery in Cologne till 1948; by request of Adenauer it was moved to the "Waldfriedhof" of Rhöndorf. As a tomb serves a white limestone stele which was sketched and made by a pupil of the sculptor Adolf von Hildebrand. It shows a relief of risen Christ with a cross flag and a kneeling angel.

Description: Konrad Hermann Joseph Adenauer was a German statesman who served as the first post-war Chancellor of Germany (West Germany) from 1949 to 1963. He led his country from the ruins of World War II to a productive and prosperous nation that forged close relations with France, the United Kingdom and the United States. During his years in power West Germany achieved democracy, stability, international respect and economic prosperity.
