The three storey stone and rendered masonry Fremantle Hotel was constructed in 1899 in the Federation Free Classical style, with the name 'Hotel Fremantle' in stucco relief on the third floor above the corner door.
In 2002 the building was purchased by Notre Dame University for the Schools of Business and Arts and Sciences and is no longer open to the public.
