I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark from 1940 in good condition. The disk is monumented on top of a square concrete post projecting about 12 inches above the ground. There is a metal witness post near this station to aid in recovery. This benchmark is also listed on a topography map as 'BM 4472'. The NGS coordinates and datasheet description are adequate for station recovery.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 21.8 MI NW FROM CANBY. 21.8 MILES NORTHWEST ALONG THE CANBY-KLAMATH FALLS HIGHWAY FROM THE JUNCTION WITH U.S. HIGHWAY 299 AT CANBY, MODOC COUNTY, 0.5 MILE NORTHWEST OF THE JUNCTION OF A DIRT ROAD LEADING NORTHEAST TO HORSE CAMP, 50 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, AND AT A WHITE WOODEN WITNESS POST. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED T 602 1940 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST.
