This 25-cm German Schwerer Minenwerfer Alt Art trench mortar was taken at Vimy Ridge by the 9th Field Company on April 9th, 1917. The mortar is located in front of Waterford District High School in Waterford, Ontario.

Upon learning of the mortar cannon's history, the high school refurbished and held a ceremony for the monument to mark Vimy Ridge's 100th anniversary. (http://www.simcoereformer.ca/2017/04/12/wdhs-plays-host-to-piece-of-historic-battle)
