[FR] L'Habitation Saint Etienne se situe sur la commune du Gros Morne, au centre de la Martinique sur la route de Saint Joseph.
La première habitation sucrière est créée ici au début du XIXème siècle sur un domaine de plus de 400ha ! Elle est ensuite transformée en distillerie en 1882...
La production se poursuit pendant plus d'un siècle avant de péricliter à la fin des années 80. Le domaine est ensuite racheté par Yves et José Hayot en 1994.
Les nouveaux propriétaires entreprennent alors un long travail de réhabilitation et relancent la marque Saint Etienne. Aujourd'hui le rhum n'est plus distillé ici mais à la distillerie du Simon au François.
Le domaine a été largement aménagé au cours des dernières années et il accueille maintenant les touristes qui peuvent découvrir ici une authentique habitation et une distillerie historique de l'ile.
Une petite boutique bien aménagée permet de découvrir la gamme complète de la marque qui collectionne les médailles dans les concours.

Production continued for more than a century before collapsing in the late 1980s. The estate was then bought by Yves and José Hayot in 1994.
The new owners then undertake a long rehabilitation work and relaunch the Saint Etienne brand. Today the rum is no longer distilled here but in the distillery of the Simon to the François.
The estate has been extensively developed over the past few years and now welcomes tourists who can discover here an authentic dwelling and a historic distillery of the island.
A small well-equipped shop allows you to discover the full range of the brand that collects medals in the competitions.
