Iljuschin IL-18W – Leipzig, Sachsen, Germany - Static Aircraft Displays on Waymarking.com

Das hier ausgestellte Passagierflugzeug war von 1960 bis etwa 1987 in Deutschland und der damaligen DDR eingesetzt. Davon zeugen auch noch die Kennzeichnung DDR-STB sowie der große Schriftzug Interflug (die staatliche Fluggesellschaft der DDR).

Die Maschine wurde zunächst in Berlin-Schönefeld abgestellt, landete dann im Museum Aeropark Brandenburg - Diepensee und steht seit etwa 2000 auf dem Dach des Oldtimermuseum Da Capo. Die Maschine kann nicht betreten werden, ist aber von der Straße (Karl-Heine-Straße) gut zu sehen!

The exhibited passenger plane was used in Germany and the GDR from 1960 to about 1987. This is also demonstrated by the designation DDR-STB and the large lettering Interflug (the state airline company of the GDR).

The airplane was first parked in Berlin-Schönefeld, then transported to the Museum Aeropark Brandenburg - Diepensee and is parked on the roof of the Oldtimermuseum Da Capo since 2000. The airplane can not be entered, but is easy to see from the street (Karl-Heine-Straße)!
