I am curious about the should patches departments wear, this small department (see photo galley) had three. I wonder if they changed patches when they changed chiefs. Anyway, the current patch is shown in the department window, the other two I have photos.

"The security for Elsberry MO Police Jail is classified as medium as the intake for prisoners is in the actual police department of Elsberry. The entire police force operates in the building where the cells are located, security is high. The building is solid concrete with zero access to other rooms in the facility. Any offender movements are strictly supervised while handcuffed and shacked. The periods of time are very short-term in this jail. Elsberry MO Police Jail is a police jail for housing inmates immediately after their arrest. Inmates are only held here temporarily and are provided with meals and access to bathroom facilities. There are no movements outside the general cell, there are limited seats and beds so sometimes inmates actual sit/sleep on the floor. Use the inmate search feature to find an inmate here. The police department does not have enough cell-space to keep offenders beyond 72-hours. If they are to remain incarcerated, it will be most likely to the Lincoln sheriff's nearby facility. Type: Main Office (HQ Building)

Visit Instructions:
To log a visit, you must post a photo of you in front of the building described, with your GPS in the photo. No drive by photos.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
