Brian Bevan (1924 - 1991) was Australian born and play 688 games, scored 796 tries, a world record from 1945 to 1964 of which 620 games and 740 tries were for Warrington Wolves Rugby League Football Club from 1945 - 1962.

The nickname of the club is the Wires.
