TT134L Bench Mark - Sawyer County, WI - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This is a USGS survey marker, standard brass disk, in a concrete base located at ground level. There are nearby vinyl markers and signs tacked into trees stating that a survey marker is located here.

The marker is located on the south side of County Highway W near the junction with Tower Road. A ruined cabin is about 20 feet to the west.

A Consolidated Paper survey marker is atop a pipe located about 10 feet to the south, almost under a fallen pine tree. That marker is easier to locate than the USGS marker, which is at ground level and closer to the road.

The marker base is mossy and was almost covered with leaves and debris.

While the disk indicates that this is a benchmark, there are no coordinates stamped into the disk.

The disk is dated 1942.
