The former Fremantle Fire Station was constructed in 1908 and is a two storey, symmetrical building designed in the Federation Free Classical style. The gabled roof is clad with terracota tiles and has three rendered chimneys. On the ground floor are three red painted timber door formally used for the fire truck entrances.
The building is now used for backpacker accomodation
