Cindy Walker was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Texas Music Hall of Fame and was a resident of Mexia for over forty years. She wrote over 500 songs that were recorded by various artists including Bob Wills, Eddy Arnold, Elvis, Roy Orbison, and Jim Reeves. She died in 2006 and is buried in the Mexia Cemetery.

Framed by lovely flowers is Cindy Walker sitting on a stool, with a guitar in her lap. Behind her there is a burst of sun rays. Across the rays is the music and words to "You Don't Know Me" first recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1956.

At the end of the music is a pink typewriter.
