This is not the original Roman Catholic church for Grafton, but it is very grand, in a Gothic style.

visit link) "Following the destruction by fire of the old St Mary's Church in 1913, the foundation stone for a new church was set on 18 January 1914. The new St Mary's was completed before the end of the year to the design of architects, Eaton and Bates of Sydney."
From talking to the Priest, there are several statues and shrines inside the Church, but it is currently closed for renovations. The slate tiles had come into disrepair, and are being replaced. Unknown date of the original organisation in this region.

Unfortunately, since I had photographed it in December, 2015, and been past a couple more times, this church is currently under renovations from March 2017. With services being held at the South Grafton St Patrick's Church @ 74 Skinner Street. [S29° 42.255' E152° 56.033']
The expected opening of St Mary's is to be September, or October, 2017.
