[FR] La sol de la région de Touraine est composé de roche de Tuffeau. Cette pierre assez tendre était extraite des sols pour permettre la construction des habitations alentours et les grottes ainsi obtenues permettait le stockage des productions locales.

[EN] The soil of the region of Touraine is composed of rock of Tuffeau. This rather soft stone was extracted from the soil to allow the construction of the surrounding dwellings and the caves thus obtained allowed the storage of local productions.
