From the Sisters Ranger Station travel generally W on US20 and ORE242 for about 4.2 miles. Turn right onto FR1012, the Cold Spring Cutoff, and continue about 0.5 miles generally NNE. Turn left onto FR1008, continue about 0.5 miles and park. The corner is on the left, about 0.7 mile S from the centerline of FR1008.

Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, T14S R9E S27 26 35 34 COR, WAYPOINT WMVGQ5, bears N0.4°W from the present corner, 5335' distant.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on iron pipe; rising 6"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
Found three ponderosa pines all with partly healed blazes. Each of the trees has a yellow BEARING TREE tag and old-style BEARING TREE shield on the facing side and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the backside. The corner is near a 4x4' rock crib which anchors the NE corner of a barbed wire fence. There is a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post which bears N from the corner, 55" distant.
