From the Sisters Ranger Station travel generally W on US20 and ORE242 for about 4.2 miles. Turn right onto FR1012, the Cold Spring Cutoff, and continue about 0.5 miles generally NNE. Turn left onto FR1008, continue about 0.5 miles and park. The corner is on the right, about 0.3 mile N from the centerline of FR1008.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on steel pipe in a collar of stones; rising 2"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
Found four ponderosa pines all with healed blazes and yellow BEARING TREE tags. There is an ATTENTION sign mounted on a T-post which bears NW from the corner, 17" distant.


What property is this mark defining?:
Deschutes National Forest land all around
