This is an interesting arch headstone whose cap joins the married couple, and the Woodmen emblem is on that cap. The family name, "Ewing", is on the plinth, and since this is a Woodmen of the World monument, Mr. Ewing was the member. The inscription is:

In Loving Memory
of
J.H. Ewing

Born
At Cedar Grove Perry Co. Tenn.
June 21, 1850,

Died
At Big Springs, Texas.
Oct. 31, 1895.

--

"I Want to Be Closer to Christ."

In Loving Memory
of
Mary Ewing

Born
Limestone Co. Texas,
Jan. 16, 1859

Died
At Nocona, Texas.
Sept. 13, 1946

Note the reference to "Bonham Camp No. 14" above the Woodmen emblem.
