Located in San Diego's Air & Space Museum at 2001 Pan American Plaza, San Diego, CA 92101 in Balboa Park, this helicopter was an armed gunship.
Armed helicopters were first developed for the Vietnam War. This craft was built in 1977 and delivered to the Army in 1978. It was used in Grenada as part of Operation Urgent Fury in 1983. It was donated to the Museum in 1993.
