From the Sisters Ranger Station travel generally W on US20 and ORE242 for about 2.3 miles. Go generally N on FR1012-500, the Brooks-Scanlon Logging Road, for 0.5 mile and park. The corner is W, about 0.5 mile distant.
Type of survey mark: 3" brass cap on iron pipe; rising 4"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
Did not find any bearing trees, but there is a 20" ponderosa pine which bears NW from the corner, 43" distant. The original corner stone, set by J. McClung in 1870 and accepted by F. Mensch in 1922, bears S about 125' distant. O. Thingvall added a LOCATION POSTER in 1963.
