Marker Text:
An early settler in the Clear Fork region, T.E. Jackson was a merchant and trader in bison hides, who owned stores in the towns of Fort Griffin and Albany. Built by Jackson in 1874, the house was purchased by Samuel Ward in 1880 and remained in the Ward family until 1943.
