The wax life-size statue of Christian martyr Saint Liberatus (Sv. Liberátus Mucedník) in unique Baroque relic-type tomb in shape of highly decorated glass coffin is located in the St. Joseph Chapel Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Bazilika Navštívení Panny Marie) in Svaty Kopecek.
The ex ossibus Saint Liberatus relics (the skeleton) are encased in the wax statue of the saint, displayed in an imposing sargophagus made of glass, silver, alabaster and marble. Remains of St. Liberatus (†483) was donation of Pope Benedict XIV (1740-1758) to the Basilica in 1750.
St. Liberatus - Martyr with Boniface, Maximus, Rogatus, Rusticus, Septimus, and Servus. Liberatus was abbot of an African monastery near Capsa, Byzeceke. He and the others were martyred by the Arian ruler of the Vandals, Hunneric, in Carthage in 483 AD.
Monumental Baroque Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Bazilika Navštívení Panny Marie), built in 1669–1679, is the key building of pilgrimage site Svatý Kopecek in Olomouc-Samotišky.
