From the Sisters Ranger Station travel generally W on US20 and ORE242 for about 4.2 miles. Turn right onto FR1012, the Cold Spring Cutoff, and continue about 0.5 miles generally NNE. Turn right onto FR1008, continue about 0.5 miles and park. The corner is on the right, about 180' S from the centerline of FR1008.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on iron pipe; rising 4 " but atilt

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is about 12' N from the centerline of a dirt road. It appears to have been nudged by heavy equipment. Found two ponderosa pines with scribed blazes.


What property is this mark defining?:
Deschutes National Forest land all around; see also USDI-Bureau of Land Management, Field Notes of the Remonumentation of Certain Original Corner Points, Township 14 South, Range 9 East of the Willamette Meridian in the State of Oregon; Survey Completed August 12, 1966
