Pictoral sign outside The Top Railway Inn, Charnwood Road, Shepshed. The sign replaced a slightly more colourful one a couple of years ago, it still features a locomotive.

You will receive a warm welcome at THe Top from landlord Ash and his partner Dy who are both passionate about this little pub maintaining the status it deserves.
Recently refurbished, THe Top is the only traditional pub left in the area - a good old fashioned "proper pub" with log fires, a warm friendly atmosphere and a good relationship with the local community - many of whom report that it is the "best kept beer in the village!". . It is well supported by local dart teams, and is one of the official sponsors to both *Ingles FC* and professional flyweight boxer *Louis "2 SWEET" Norman*.
There is a large beer garden which has recently been re-furbished and there are games to keep the children happy.
