This is an interesting building - post office and firehouse sharing quarters, a juxtaposition not often seen.

The north end of the building houses the Cutler Post Office while the south end, with the three overhead doors, is the firehouse. The Cutler Fire Department is manned by a fire chief, an assistant chief and eight firefighters, all volunteer. A low budget operation, the town both budgeted and spent the grand total of $7,750 on the operation of the department in 2015. The department serves a town with a population of 507 as of 2010, up slightly from a population of 454 in 1830.

With the three overhead doors on the station we'll guess that the department is able to field three pieces of apparatus and that's all we know of the department. The department has a facebook page, but no web page.
