This monument is in Beechwood Cemetery, section 22, lot 57. The monument was either created for an 1861 burial in the now-closed Sandy Hill Cemetery or for the reinterment after Beechwood Cemetery opened in the 1870s.
The flying hourglass on the broken column monument is above the faded panel for Charlotte T Dickinson (1851-1929). The Dickinson family monument is nearly identical to the
William Hodgins monument in Hazeldean village. Even though the monuments are so similar, the hourglass designs differ.
What type of hourglass is it?: Tombstone
Is this hourglass accessible 24/7?: no
If the hourglass is not accessible 24/7, open hours for the location of the hourglass: Admittance to the Cemetery grounds is permitted daily from sunrise to sunset.
