Centered in Memorial Green is this granite monument. It consists of a standing rectangular granite slab flanked by two smaller granite slabs, all standing on a horizontal granite slab. Above the text (see below) on the centre slab is carved an eagle perched atop leaved branches. At the bottom, in small lettering, are the words "Erected by Town of Yarmouth". Leading into the memorial from Main Street is a walkway of stone pavers. Surrounding the memorial is a shrub bed, then a grassed area with picnic tables, benches and trees.
