Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery is a beautiful, restful place. On the north side of Sand Springs, set on rolling countryside, there are many large trees, with paved driveways wandering through the area. There are 11,918 burials here, with a section for veterans headstones and a piece of artillery as a war memorial.

The entrance has a tall, elaborate stucco archway, and beyond that are cemetery offices and a chapel. Woodland is the burial place for Major League baseball player Jerry Adair (visit link) and actor, Royce Applegate (visit link)

On the north and west sides of this cemetery, heavy woods separate the area from a large creek. To the east and south are residential neighborhoods.
