The department, Bristol Fire & Rescue, is spread among three communities, station No. 1 here in New Harbor, station No. 2 in Round Pond and station No. 3 in Bristol Mills. Each one flies the Stars & Stripes, the Flag of the State of Maine and the flag of the fire department. The fire department's flag is the red one, Maine's the blue one.
