[EN] You will find this hourglass on the map explaining the different points of view you will encounter along this path.
It indicates the time of the hiking trail. The starting point of the hike is in the parking of the Aileron.
An orientation table makes it possible to become familiar with the relief and to identify the cities and boroughs visible on the Caribbean and Atlantic coasts.
The trace, perfectly marked, winds in laces between the ferns and the slope quickly becomes stiff. We reach the summit of the Aileron (1107m) after 1km of difficult climb. The trail then forks to the right and follows the crest slightly downhill before rearing up again to join the plateau des Palmistes at 1230m.
This portion of climb is easier and shorter than the previous one. The plateau des Palmistes offers at this stage a very pleasant break in the ascent.
The total hike is about 7 km for a duration of 4 hours, the return is by the same way, in the opposite direction.
