William Keene, one of the many Keenes who served in the Revolutionary War, seems to be somewhat of an obscure Keene. Born April 27, 1753 in Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, William passed away on July 21, 1821, likely in Bristol, ME. He served in Captain Caleb Turner's Company, Col. Bond's Regiment, as a private, apparently in a seacoast role. His length of service was relatively short, totaling 6 months, 3 days, from July 13, 1775 to December 31, 1775.

William's headstone is near the eastern edge of the eastern half of the cemetery, more or less directly behind a larger KEENE headstone of similar style.
