[DE] Auf den Rastplätzen der A61 "Thelenberg" und "Im Dürpel" befindet sich ein Steinlehrpfad. Gelegen ist der Steinlehrpfad in der Nähe von Mendig. Es handelt sich hierbei um einen Rundgang über beide Rastplätze, die durch eine Unterführung der A61 miteinander verbunden sind. Auf einer Schautafel ist angegeben, an welcher Stelle des Steinlehrpfads welche Objekte zu sehen sind. Dabei gibt es die verschiedenen Steinarten der Region (Tuff, Basalt, Trachyt, etc.) zu bestaunen, genauso wie die daraus enstehenden Produkte (Rinnsteine, Bordsteine, Plattenbelag, Radabweiser). Ausserdem gibt es noch einen alten Drehkran, sowie eine Steinhebemaschine (Göpelwerk) zu bewundern. Man kann alles in Ruhe auf eigene Faust erkunden und begutachten.

[EN] On the rest stops of the A61 "Thelenberg" and "Im Dürpel" is a stone path. The stone path is located near Mendig. This is a tour of both stops, which are connected by an underpass of the A61. On a schautafel it is indicated, at which place of the Steinlehrpfad what objects are to be seen. There are the various types of rock in the region (tuff, basalt, trachyte, etc.), as well as the resulting products (Gutters, curbs, plating, wheel deflectors). There is also an old revolving crane, as well as a stoen lift machine (Göpelwerk) to admire. You can explore and evaluate everything at your own.
