This flag display is at the southwest edge of le parc Jaques-Cartier, at the intersection of boulevard des Allumettières and rue Laurier in secteur Hull, Gatineau. The flags are at the foot of the inter-provincial bridge,
pont Alexandra. The park is supervised by the
National Capital Commission (NCC).
The flag display includes fourteen flags; national, provincial and territorial, arranged by date of entry into confederation. The first row, facing Laurier, beginning at the north end (posted co-ordinates), fly the flags of Canada, Ontario, Québec and Nova Scotia; second row from the north, New Brunswick, Manitoba, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan and Alberta; and then the back row, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, the Yukon and Nunavut. The flags have been flying here since before 2002.
