"John Viney was a long-time cigar maker; later the firm of W. Mulford & Son operated for many years, from the late nineteenth century through the early decades of the twentieth, located in the Mulford & Siver Block on Main Street. Reported to have been one of Unadilla's largest employers, the featured product was the "Chauncey Olcott" brand, selling for 10 cents."
