The station is the standard type of HN, dates from 1887 and is located on the railway track Horn Medemblik.
The station was opened on November 3, 1887 and closed to passengers on 1 January 1936. From May 29, 1940 to January 5, 1941 it was opened for passengers. Freight continued until 1972. The first stage of the Hoorn-Medemblik took place on 23 May 1968. Since 1969 there has been a steady steam tram service.
