This Painted Barn Quilt is located at the corner of Rainham Road and Nanticoke Road, just east of Nanticoke. The free standing quilt is on OPG property but is view-able from the other side of the fence.

The quilt is dedicated to the battle of Nanticoke which happened nearby in 1813.

"This barn quilt represents the Battle of Nanticoke, which took place Nov. 13, 1813. The log cabin design signifies the cabin of John Dunham, where the Norfolk volunteer militia routed a band of American marauders who had been pillaging area farms and terrorizing the countryside. This exploit inspired the British military forces and the people of Upper Canada during the War of 1812." (visit link)
