Immediately north of I-95 and immediately west of Highway 1, the visitor centre is centered in the large rest area. The rest area has two traffic loops, with the truck and RV loop and parking outside and the small vehicle loop within it. Truck and RV parking is toward the rear (south) end of the facility, while there are two parking areas for cars, one at the southeast corner and one on the west side. Both afford ready access to the visitor centre.
The visitor centre is housed in a rustic log and wood frame building with washrooms both inside and to the north. In the visitor centre one will find the expected stock of area maps and brochures, along with the usual genial staff, happy to answer off the wall questions.
While the rest area is accessible 24/7/365, the visitor centre is open from 8 to 6 in the summer and 9 to 5:30 in the winter. Snacks and drinks are available in the visitor centre and free wifi is available throughout the grounds, 24 hours a day.
For those who may be directionally challenged a map of the facility may be
found here.
