2244 Tesla is a minor planet or asteroid. It was discovered on October 22, 1952 by Milorad B. Protic at Belgrade, Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia, now Serbia. It has diameter of 29 km and it's located in the main belt.

Nikola Tesla (1856–1943) was an American (also Serbian nationality and Croatian citizenship) inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and futurist best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system.
