EN: This transformer tower is located in Bättwil in a residential area. The property of the tower is enclosed by dwelling houses and apparently not accessible to the public. But a footpath to the nearby tram station leads very close along the tower on the other side of the tracks.
The tower is a two-storey building with a saddle roof and several true windows, not just ventilation openings. There are no decorative elements and it is not dated. I presume a creation period of the 1940s or 1950s.
DE: Dieser Trafoturm befindet sich in Bättwil in einem Wohngebiet. Das Areal des Turms ist von Wohnhäusern eingeschlossen und offenbar nicht öffentlich zugänglich. Ein Fussweg zu der nahem Tramstation führt allerdings auf der anderen Seite der Gleise ganz nah an dem Turm vorbei.
Der Turm ist zweistöckig mit Satteldach und mehreren richtigen Fenstern, nicht nur Belüftungsöffnungen. Es gibt keinerlei dekorative Elemente und er ist nicht datiert. Ich vermute als Entstehungszeit die 1940er oder 1950er Jahre.
