The Square Fountain is the first fountain you will see as you approach the beautifully landscaped medieval Garden of the King (S'Hort del Rei) from the south. A 10' square basin is surrounded by stone blocks is set a few inches above the ground. From the center of the basin a nozzle sprays water about 6' straight up. The fountain is surrounded by symmetrical plantings. It is surrounded by grass and has palm trees at each corner. Beyond the grass, hedges form a larger square around the fountain.
