One of an edition of 3. Gift of the Virginia Wright Fund. IAS files contain copies from University of Washington Daily, April 5, 1977, pg. 10, which discusses wind-damage; University of Washington Daily, Oct. 12, 1977, pg. 18, which discusses obelisk's removal for repair of wind-damage; Rupp, James M., "Art in Seattle's Public Places: An Illustrated Guide," Seattle: University of Washington Press, 1992, pg. 189; and University Week (University of Washington, Seattle, WA), March 12, 1992, pg. 1, which discusses restoration.
After a quick online search of this sculpture, I located an article that mentions this sculpture having gone through a restoration in March of 2008 at a cost of $32,000.

PHYSICAL LOCATION: Sculpture is located in Red Square and near the SE corner of Kane Hall. This sculpture is large and very noticeable from anywhere within Red Square.
DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH: The only addition I have to add from the IAS description and my observation is an online article I located that mentions a restoration of this sculpture made in 2008 at a cost of $32,000.
