From the Sisters Ranger Station travel generally W on US20 and ORE242 for about 2.3 miles. Go generally N on FR1012-500, the Brooks-Scanlon Logging Road, for 1.5 mile. The corner is on the right.

Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present section corner bears N1.0°W from T14S R9E S36 R10E S31 1/4 COR, WAYPOINT WMVDKD, 2638' distant.
Type of survey mark: 2-5/8" brass cap on steel pipe; rising 7"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is NE, about 40' from the centerline of FR1012-500. Found an open blaze on a ponderosa pine with a yellow BEARING TREE tag and an ATTENTION sign on the backside. Found three bearing objects established by William B. Ham in 1992. BO 2 is a 1-1/2" aluminum cap on 5/8" rebar driven flush. BO 1 and 3 are missing the caps. All the bearing object positions are marked with either PROPERTY BOUNDARY or LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs mounted on U-posts.

Private property SE of the corner, else Deschutes National Forest land
