This large statue of a duck, built in 1996, was re-branded in 2005 as a commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the town of Petersfield.

The town of Petersfield was founded in about 1905. It was originally known as St. Louis, after it's founder, Romuaid Gadeau Xavier Saint Louis. When he died in 1909, it came to be known as Petersfield, after two local residents, Peter Biy and Peter Sinclair. Petersfield is now located within the Rural Municipality of St. Andrews.
