From the Sisters Ranger Station travel generally W on US20 and ORE242 for about 2.3 miles. Go generally N on FR1012-500, the Brooks-Scanlon Logging Road, for 1.0 mile. The corner is on the left.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on iron pipe; rising 9"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is W, about 130' from the centerline of FR1012-500. Found five ponderosa pines with either yellow BEARING TREE tags or old-style BEARING TREE shields. There is a PROPERTY BOUNDARY sign mounted on a T-post near the corner.

Private property E of the corner, else Deschutes National Forest; see also USDI-Bureau of Land Management, Field Notes of the Remonumentation of Certain Original Corner Points, Township 14 South, Range 9 East of the Willamette Meridian in the State of Oregon; Survey Completed August 12, 1966
