EN: The transformer substation Rickenbacherstrasse is located at a crossroads in the north of Gelterkinden. The one-storey building with a saddle roof and a ventilation opening above the entrance is not dated. After the conventional overhead wires were relocated into the ground, the costly tower construction was no longer necessary. Such single-storey stations as real brick buildings are nevertheless not very common, since the prefabricated stations of metal and concrete came up only a little later. Therefore I guess this one was built in the late 1950s or early 1960s.

The station is still in service, operated by Elektra Baselland Liestal.

Creation date: unknown (1950s/60s?)
