Geologische und pflanzenkundliche Bedeutung: Im ehemaligen Diabasbruch sind besonders im Nordteil deutlich ausgeprägte Kissenstrukturen aufgeschlossen. Es kommen auch Brekzien und Diabasmandelsteine vor. Der Diabas wird von bunten oberdevonischen Tonschiefern überlagert (tektonisch gestörter Verband). Im Südteil des Bruches liegt ein kurzer Untersuchungsstollen (verm. auf Mn). Die Bruchsohle dient heute als Bus-Wendeplatz. Dort ist eine Informationstafel über die örtliche Fauna zu sehen. Beschrieben sind u.a. der "Großblütige Fingerhut" und "Pechnelke"

Geological and botanical significance:

In the former quarry, particularly marked pillow structures are opened up in the northern part. There are also breccias and diabas almonds. The Diabas is superimposed by colorful Upper Devonian clay shales (tectonically disturbed bandage). In the southern part of the rupture there is a short test tunnel (on Mn). The fractured sole now serves as a bus turning point. There is an information board on the local fauna. Described are for instance:. The "big-flowered thimble" and "Pechnelke" and others...
