This volcanic plug summit is visible from anywhere on the rim of the almost encircling volcanic caldera, and right along the far north coast of NSW.

Rather than repeating 'Everything', I would suggest that you look at the "Scenic Hike" entry: Mt Warning

* Standing 1,150 metres, it has a 'Prominence' of 952 m!
* The elevation gained on the 4.4 km walk up the zigzagging trail is less than that tho.
* Signs at the trail-head suggest 5 hours return.
* Do NOT attempt the climb if there is there the possibility of a storm, electrical, or otherwise.
* There ARE 5 (FIVE) helicopter evacuation points on the trail, BUT, when you see the first one you will realise that you HOPE you will NEVER have to be airlifted out. Majorly SCARY! Very limited clearing amongst TALL trees.
* The mountain is a natural lightning conductor. As unfortunately a couple found out when they were illegally camping in December 2016, on the summit in readiness to watch the sunrise the next morning. But one didn't make it, when a storm blew in. See the above waymark, for a 'link' to that sad story.
* 90% of the 4.4 km track is 'stroller suitable', but the last, and steepest part has chains to aid in pulling yourself up.

** Again, gauge your own fitness, and be prepared with some food, and a minimum of a litre of water; and possibly a poncho, as storms come in rapidly. **

*** NO CAMPING IS PERMITTED on the SUMMIT ***
