To celebrate its anniversary, the Denton Festival Foundation donated a sculpture by Rosie Sandifer of Santa Fe to the City of Denton. Titled “O Be Joyful,” the work depicts two sisters dancing with outstretched arms.

O be joyful to be free, healthy, happy, excited to bask in a beautiful day of sunshine, to be outside smelling grass, flowers, or to hear water rushing over a fall. These stimuli from outside result in the thankful feelings that I sense in seeing these sisters twirling in joy.
