This machine gun is located outside of the Royal Canadian Legion South Brant Branch 462 near Oakland, Ontario. It is a German 7.92mm Maxim Spandau MG 08 machine gun on a Schlitten stand. Made by DWM Berlin.
The gun was captured by the 10th Battalion, 2nd Infantry Brigade, 1st Canadian Division of the Canadian Expeditionary Force on August 9th, 1918 at Billet No. 10 in Warvillers, France.
