The Clock is mounted on the front of the Laxey Village Commissioners Offices on New Road in Laxey. It has two identical blue faces, with gold roman numerials at five minute intervals and minute markers. Each clock face has gold minute and hour hands.

Both clock faces are set into a White Surround. Above each face in black lettering are the words 'Laxey Village' and bellow the each face are depictions of the Great Laxey Wheel ^Lady Isabella" and Salmon. (In old Norse Laxa from which the village derives its name means Salmon River).

The body of the clock is painted blue and this colour forms an elegant border to the white area around both clock faces.

Up until 2016 Laxey Village Commissioners were responsible for the local government of the village of laxey but now the village is part of the Parish District of Garff along with Lonan and Maughold. It is Garff Commissioners that now use the offices on which the Clock is mounted.
