House N° 109 "Kraus' House" (dum c.p. 109 "Krausuv dum") is one of three adjacent valuable Art-Nouveau residential/retail space houses located in Trída míru (Peace Avenue) in the Pardubice centre.
"Kraus' House" with unique decorative facade, designed by architect Jaroslav Kohoutek, was built as a representative hardware deparment store for merchant Josef Kraus in 1907-1908. "Kraus' House" is one of the most ambitious metropolitan-type commercial buildings built in Pardubice center in the beginning of the 20th century. "Kraus' House" is four-storeyed building with hexaaxial front facade with two oriels in lateral axes (in upper two storeys). Beautiful front facade is highly decorated by numerous Art-Nouveau elements mostly from ceramic tiles and on its gable is a large relief of god Mercury.
