BOB is how the locals refer to their beloved bridge. Standing beside Lakeside Park, the bridge gets a bit of help from it in creating a Lucky 7.

The bridge was built in 1957, to the great relief of the locals, as it replaced a ferry which by that time was seriously overtaxed. This is the only bridge across the West Arm of Kootenay Lake in the area, so their affection for it is certainly understandable. This is a big, high bridge and has become a local landmark.
